KROMATIK ENSEMBLE

Natasha and Mishi have been playing music together since they met in Budapest as students. Natasha graduated from the Royal College of Music as well as the Ferenc Liszt academy of Music. Mishi also graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in both performance and teaching. 

It was during this time that they quickly realised their true calling was chamber music and predominantly the string quartet. They founded the Szervanszky Quartet and continued to work together in this capacity for well over 10 years including participating and winning awards at international competitions.

Their professional lives have also given Natasha and Mishi the opportunity to be full time members of two of Hungary’s highest ranking symphonic orchestras – The Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Concerto Budapest Orchestra.

Since moving to East Lothian in the summer of 2022 they have been blessed with the opportunity to take over and run Lamp House Music School. This now gives them a chance to give back so much of what they have learnt over their collective careers.

Natasha and Mishi’s next big dream is to support and actively participate in regular Chamber Music Concerts throughout East Lothian and Edinburgh. They would like to make Chamber Music as understood, enjoyed, and as accessible as they can. Music is for everyone and there is nothing better than having the chance to share these moments of musical conversations with each other!
